The script file is one of the group of data-driven text files that interact with the ParserMonster framework. A script is a task file that you create with the 
button and load with the 
button.
You may want to create a script to:
- Preserve current folder settings
- Modify the default behavior of commands
- Override some directives
- Set up reports
Although not strictly necessary, you should use the directive <icon>script to identify scripts. The icon looks like this: 
In addition, you may want to use a file name prefix to group all scripts together.
(ParserMonster offers to save new scripts as si-taskname-yyyymmdd.task.)
Preserve Settings
This is the most common use of scripts. Save your Read From and Write To folders, as well as the file filters.
